However, Tim Rogers and the gang have rectified that omission by announcing a Cambridge Hotel show on May 3.
The Majesty Of Tap is a tribute to "Britain's loudest ever band" Spinal Tap, a musical parody act made famous in the 1984 film This Is Spinal Tap.
The movie spoofed heavy metal bands of the late '70s and early '80s and produced classic songs like Big Bottom, Sex Farm, Hell Hole and Stonehenge.
You Am I have always possessed a cabaret feel due to the flamboyant Rogers and Davey Lane's portrayal of Spinal Tap's Nigel Tufnel in leopard print is sure to be a highlight.
CLASSICAL SULTAN
WHEN one thinks of blues-rocker Dan Sultan you generally picture a raucous pub gig or perhaps a heaving festival crowd.
However, for Sultan's upcoming Aviary Takes tour, he's taking a different tact.
The Aviary Takes album, released on March 15, will features acoustic versions of popular originals like Old Fitzroy and Kingdom, plus covers of Florence & The Machine's Dog Days Are Over and Gillian Welch’s Look At Miss Ohio.
In order to do those stripped-back songs justice, Sultan will perform at venues like Newcastle's The Conservatorium of Music on May 10, which normally hosts classical styles.
TROPHY SUPPORT
NEWCASTLE punk band Trophy Eyes will join English metalcore heavyweights Bring Me The Horizon on their upcoming Australian tour.
Trophy Eyes will perform alongside other supports You Me At Six and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, both from England. Bring Me The Horizon play Qudos Bank Arena on April 12.
