The Butcherbird Tour will arrive at Belmont 16s on Saturday, June 1.
Williamson will perform songs from the new album, Butcherbird, as well as favourites from his massive back catalogue including Rip Rip Woodchip, True Blue, Waltzing Matilda and many more.
Williamson's career now spans more than 48 years.
He delivers memorable live concert experiences that combine a mix of humour, a hint of romance, and campfire stories that are tied together beautifully by his music.
Audiences can expect to experience a mix of emotions on the new concert tour, with tear-jerking songs such as Don't Forget Me When I'm Gone and Looking for a Story, and humour-filled songs such as When My Horse Came In and Simpson Desert.
Williamson has never been afraid to sing about issues he is passionate about, and that is clear with his new song Pigs on the River.
"I'm still having fun touring and will keep going until 2020, my 50th year in the industry," he said.
In the news:
"My new album Butcherbird has come up amazingly well, considering I didn't plan or promise another album of all-new songs.
"Everyone is very excited and so am I. For me, it's all about entertainment, just like my concerts and I can't wait to get on the road with this new tour."
Williamson was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2010 and has received numerous awards including 25 Golden Guitars, APRA Awards, and 3 ARIA Awards, just to name a few.
His voice and sound is instantly recognisable and important to Australians.
Since 1970 when he wrote his first song, Old Man Emu, Williamson has written more than 500 songs and he has performed at some of Australia's most significant events including the 2011 rugby league grand final, the first and 10th anniversary of the Bali bombings and, most recently, the opening of the new Waltzing Matilda Centre in Winton.
Tickets for the Belmont gig cost $88 for dinner and the show, or $49 for the show only. Visit 16s.com.au.
