Ella Butcher, Kate Love, Maddi Mueller, Samantha Chicken, Amity Petersen and Zoe Peden were all identified at state titles, regional talent squad training and the Academy Games held in April.
The opportunity provides the athletes another platform to develop their skills against the state's best in their age groups, as well as exposure to NSW coaches ahead of state selections in November, where many will be trialling for the under-17 NSW side.
Meanwhile, HAS golfers have also had success with 13-year-old Ella Scaysbrook taking out Ladies Club Champion for Port Macquarie Golf Club. Scaysbrook has had a great year so far competing against strong opposition in all age events.
Fellow squad members Pyper Hollis and Jasmine Vesper also took out the 2019 Lower North Coast Championships and Hunter River District Golf Association Ladies foursomes championships respectively.
Brij Ingrey was also named in the Jack Newton Junior Golf development squad.
The Hunter Academy golf program boasts a strong regional representation with athletes from all areas of the Hunter including Singleton, Kew, Lake Macquarie, Cessnock, Port Stephens and Newcastle.
