The Australian country music star is taking fans on a journey back to the genesis of his extensive songbook: a bloke with an acoustic guitar and a compelling story to tell.
The tour is to celebrate his 30 years in the industry, and his 31 No 1 chart singles.
Those 31 songs are featured on his new compilation album Greatest Hits - along with signature album tracks and two new originals.
That's 42 songs that have been the soundtrack to the everyday triumphs, struggles and good times of Australians from the city to the outback.
"Doing an acoustic show of greatest hits mixed with stories of my life and musical journey will be very special," Cassar-Daley said on the eve of the tour.
More entertainment:
"As an artist you can't get a more intimate experience with an audience than this style of show.
"It will be a musical adventure showing you how the songs sounded the day they were born. This to me is the purest way to hear them and I can't wait to share them."
Casser-Daley's standing in Australian music is reflected in his haul of awards and accolades.
He's won 37 Golden Guitars, four ARIAs, two APRA Country Song of the Year awards, nine Deadlys (Australian Indigenous Artist Awards), four CMAA Entertainer of the Year awards, plus two NIMAs (National Indigenous Music Awards).
One of the things that has endeared Cassar-Daley to fans is his willingness to visit remote areas on his tours, or playing to much smaller crowds than a multiple Golden Guitar-winner would command in the big cities.
"Slim Dusty said something to me when I was very young," Cassar-Daley recalled.
"He said, 'Everyone deserves a show, whether it's a town of 100 or whether it's a place or a big venue that's packed out. It's up to us to take it to them we can't expect everyone to come to us'."
Cassar-Daley's special guest for the tour is Jem Cassar-Daley, 18, who will open every show for her dad.
