Newcastle's Jason Sangha wants to put the disappointment of missing the NSW one-day squad behind him and reset for the Blues' Sheffield Shield opener next month, but he hasn't ruled out playing 50-over cricket at some stage this season.

The domestic One-Day Cup starts this weekend with NSW in Brisbane to meet Queensland on Sunday and South Australia on Thursday, however, Sangha didn't feature in the Blues' initial 14-man group.
Instead the 20-year-old, who has yet to play a 50-over match for his state but debuted in Shield last season, will look to retain his place in the NSW starting XI when four-day fixtures get underway on October 10.
"It is disappointing to miss out on the one-day squad," Sangha told the Newcastle Herald.
"But hopefully in 10 years time when I look back, it's just one minor hiccup as part of a long career.
"The guys who are in there can all do a job and there's things in my game I can work on.
"Now I've got to make sure my work ethic is right and maybe I can play some white-ball cricket later on.
"I've got to be ready to go if I get that call, but it also gives me a chance to set for a big Shield season."
In the Women's National Cricket League, which also begins this weekend, two Hunter products are set to line-up in new state colours after being named in Tasmania's 14-player squad on Thursday.
Left-arm orthodox spinner Samantha Bates and leg-spinner Maisy Gibson, who made the switch this year from the ACT Meteors and NSW Breakers respectively, have headed to Brisbane for the Tigers' opening encounters against the WA Fury on Sunday and Queensland Fire on Tuesday.
"We've had a very long pre-season, including some trials in Darwin and South Australia, so it will be good finally getting out in the middle and testing ourselves in actual games," Bates said.
"There's a really good culture down there [in Tasmania] and I think we've got a really competitive side."
Fellow Novocastrian Corinne Hall is vice-captain for Tasmania, who narrowly missed a spot in last season's final by a bonus point.
Meanwhile, Newcastle's representative trial match against Manly-Warringah at Ron Hill Oval on Saturday has been cancelled after wet weather this week prevented a pitch being prepared.
