Brock Christopher Feenan, 21, appeared in Newcastle Bail Court on Sunday charged with supplying a commercial quantity of a prohibited drug, nine counts of supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug and three counts of dealing with the proceeds of crime.
Mr Feenan was refused bail to re-appear in Newcastle Local Court on Monday.
Police attached to the Newcastle City target action group say they stopped Mr Feenan's vehicle on Lambton Road about 1am on Saturday for a random breath test.
Police say they searched him and the vehicle, allegedly locating an amount of cash, 64 capsules of MDMA and another 25 blue tablets.
Mr Feenan was arrested and taken to Waratah police station while police searched his home. In total, police say they seized 250 grams of MDMA, the threshold for supplying a commercial quantity, which carries a maximum of 20 years in jail.
