The tourists won the opening 50-over game with nine balls to spare at Bowral's Bradman Oval on Friday, but the Aussie veterans are keen to hit back at the Cameron Park venue and take it to a decider in Brisbane on December 8.
"Australia are confident they can turn the tables at Pasterfield and take it to a decider at Peter Burge Oval," Belmont-based Veterans Cricket Australia president David Head said.
"The last seven ODIs over three years have been very close games, there's not a whole lot between the two teams.
"It's all highly competitive, but with a tremendous spirit. The way cricket should be played."
Head added Cardiff-Boolaroo Cricket Club, Lord Taveners Hunter and Lake Macquarie City Council have helped support the event.
The Australian squad includes two former Queensland representatives in captain Mark Gaskell and Wayne Broad.
Former Randwick, Penrith and Newcastle district player Eric Higgins, originally from Gloucester and now based at Coffs Harbour, is set to feature in the fixture.
NDCA financial controller Alan Nichols has been appointed to umpire along with Bill Bannon.
Stockton, Newcastle and NSW Country scorer David Redden will be on the books.
