And the luxurious property was secured quickly.
Dane Queenan, of PRDnationwide Port Stephens, reported the $3.4 million sale of 171 Soldiers Point Road came within the first week of marketing for the five-bedroom, three-bathroom house.
It is among the highest sales for the Port Stephens suburb, according to Australian Property Monitors data, and Mr Queenan said the property was secured by a Newcastle buyer.
"It's the first time it has been marketed since being built and it's a very iconic property in the sense that it's definitely a local favourite," Mr Queenan said.
The home, which was scheduled for an auction campaign, was set on a 541 square metre north-east facing block with substantial ocean frontage and had been designed over two levels to maximise the water views on offer.
According to APM data, it was the second sale over $3 million for Soliders Point Road this year after Mr Queenan sold another waterfront home at No.203 in March for $3.5 million.
In February last year, a five-bedroom, four-bathroom residence with an indoor swimming pool and spa, boathouse and direct access to Wanda Beach at 6 Randall Drive was sold for a suburb record $3.6 million.
