A knife-wielding man entered the business on Aberdare Road at Aberdare just before 6am on Wednesday and threatened the 31-year-old attendant with the weapon.
The bandit took cash and cigarettes before he fled on a dirt bike with a second man.

The bike was last seen travelling west along Aberdare Road.
Both men were wearing motorbike helmets that covered their faces and dark clothing.
Hunter Valley police established a crime scene and are calling for anyone with information that could help the investigation to contact them.
