Just 11 months from beginning construction, GWH has received the 121Elder's Occupation Certificate and purchasers are set to move into its apartments and retail suites.
The boutique residential development comprises 15 apartments, a mix of one, two and three bedrooms and with 11 different floor plans, plus ground-floor commercial. It has been built on the site of the former Snake Gully Hotel on the corner of Elder and Grainger streets. Demolition began in the first quarter of 2019, with construction kicking off mid-year.
GWH managing director Jonathan Craig said GWH had managed to delivering 121Elder through what have been "unprecedented times".
"Our team has received feedback from locals on 121Elder exceeding expectation, which is incredible feedback," Mr Craig said.
"Lambton is one of Newcastle's hidden gems. Accessibility, amenity, lifestyle, entertainment, great parks and schools - it has it all."
There are three apartments remaining for sale in 121Elder. They are open for inspection on Saturday from 9am to 9.45am.
GWH are also in the process of helping residents move into Charlestown development HIghpoint.
Standing at 16 storeys high and 165 metres above sea level, Highpoint comprises 68 apartments plus ground-floor commercial and is the tallest residential building in Lake Macquarie.
Construction began in 2018 and the building topped out in September last year. At the time, Lake Macquarie mayor Kay Fraser visited the Highpoint site at 2 Charles Street, describing the development as one of "significance" for the city.
"We saw an opportunity in Charlestown to provide property of a new benchmark, offering the community something not yet available in the region and the end result is just that," Mr Craig said. "[It's] our tallest residential development in our 25 years and testament to the team's ability and determination.
"From conception through development and construction, Highpoint has challenged and enabled GWH to grow to new heights, along with the Hunter Construction Group companies."
A handful of apartments remain for sale in Highpoint, which has 360-degree views of the region from a residents' rooftop terrace. Two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments start from $515,000.
There are two three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments remaining, including a penthouse on level 16. Pricing is from $989,000.
