The Bush Blues representative received the Mark Curry Medal as player of the final, having claimed match-best figures of 5-25 after featuring in one of only two half-century partnerships.
Newcastle lost the toss and were sent into bat at Seiffert Oval, scoring 188 in the 50-over decider before dismissing Riverina for 121 in reply.
"Chaddy's been great for us for a couple of years now and always contributes one way or another with bat or ball," Newcastle coach Shane Burley said.
"He featured in a critical partnership and then finished it off with the ball."
IN THE NEWS:
No.7 Chad (14) and Ryan Van Kemenade (33) picked up where Jeff Goninan (26) and James King (22) had managed to consolidate initially, taking the total from 5-72 to 6-124.
Newcastle debutant Aidan Cahill then struck 23 from 22 balls and finished off the innings alongside Ben Balcomb (18), who was the last man out with 1.1 overs left.
Riverina suffered three mini collapses, losing 3-2, 3-5 and 3-8 at various stages throughout the chase.
Brad Aldous (1-20) opened the bowling and delivered 10 straight overs, but it was Chad who did most of the damage collecting five of the final seven wickets.
Newcastle also produced two run outs.
Riverina were all out at the end of the 43rd over.
"The wicket was dry and the outfield was slow," Burley said.
"We only hit half-a-dozen fours so we really had to work for all of our runs and knew that 188 would be competitive. But we backed it up with the ball and were outstanding in the field."
Nine players from the 13-man squad were also part of Newcastle's triumph in 2019-2020.
This marks Newcastle's fifth crown in eight seasons and 17th overall in the statewide representative tournament since 1986-87.
It was the fifth time Newcastle have recorded consecutive victories, following on previous efforts from 1986 to 1988, 1993 to 1995, 2004 to 2007 and 2008 to 2011.
Meanwhile, a Dan Bailey ton helped second-placed Belmont post 220 against University at Cahill Oval in what marked the only first-grade game to get underway across the Newcastle district on Saturday.
Bailey scored 114 before being dismissed hit wicket by visitor Joseph Hart (6-73).
He arrived in the middle with the total 2-11 and left at 8-197. Belmont lost the toss and were sent into bat.
Bailey then picked up the first wicket in reply as the Sea Dragons finished 2-70 from 23 overs. Mitch Lole and Varun Sharma are unbeaten on 25 each.
The remaining fixtures were washed out and now start this weekend, still played under two-day laws but with a compulsory change of innings at 45 overs.
