A NSW Labor spokesman said the issue was "of serious concerns" to the party.
"We've referred the matter to police and we're conducting a full investigation," the spokesman said in a statement on Wednesday.
NSW Police said it was aware of the incident and making inquiries.
The nature of the cyber attack was not publicly disclosed.
It comes after the Nine Network in March suffered what was described as the largest cyber attack on a media company in Australian history.
Parliament House was also forced in March to pull the plug on the federal email network in response to a suspected cyber attack.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison in June 2020 said Australian private and public sector organisations were being targeted in a sophisticated cyber attack by an unnamed foreign entity.
