Skywatchers captured the biggest supermoon of the year on Sunday night, as the full moon shone over the Earth at the closest point of its elliptical orbit.
It was the fourth supermoon this year, with the last to come on September 9.
The moon has appeared 14 per cent clearer and 30 per cent closer this month and amateur photographers throughout regional Australia have been having a field day.
