This year, the council is investing about $500,000 in making the park an even better place to visit, exercise and relax.
The last section of the Lambton Park pathway circuit along Elder Street will be built, which will create a 1.6-kilometre loop around the park.
A pathway along the existing diagonal link will also be built to connect the corner of Karoola Road with the bridge across Ker-rai Creek.
The playground will be updated with a combination toddler play system including a slide, maze, numerous activity panels, a new sandpit and diggers as well as the conversion of the flying fox frame into a shade sail.
Expressions of interest for a suitable adaptive reuse of the former Lambton Memorial Baby Health Centre site are open.
For the first time, Hunter Art Bazaar is taking its market to Lambton Park on Sunday, November 29.
