LADY Gaga's opening song at Newcastle Entertainment Centre last night could have been a description of her visit to Australia.Gaga opened with the hit Paparazzi belting out the lyrics "need that picture of you".The pop art performer has been a walking fashion show and a constant source of media fascination since arriving in Australia on Sunday with her team. She has been snapped in outfits such as a gold bra and granny-style knickers at Sydney Airport on Wednesday and a pair of skin-tight shredded pants in Brisbane on Sunday.Despite being the support act for the Pussycat Dolls Australian tour, there has been plenty of debate on who is the real star of the concert series. Not to be outdone, The Pussycat Dolls spoke through the Australian pop charts this week. The Pussycat Dolls's Jai Ho (You are my Destiny) was at number 3 on the ARIA singles chart, while Gaga came in at number 6 with Lovegame.Led by Nicole Scherzinger, the Pussycat Dolls performed a 16-song set last night, including their breakthrough hit Don't Cha and current chart-topper Jai Ho, in their first Hunter performance. They sang songs from their latest album Doll Domination while Lady Gaga finished her performance with acoustic and dance versions of Poker Face from her debut album The Fame.
