Lizotte’s dinner club in Newcastle has just announced a Bluefest sideshow with blues legend Keb Mo for April 17.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, September 17.
Mo, the winner of four Grammys, played Lizottes in April 2012 in another Bluesfest sideshow.
In 2017, Mo released TajMo, a collaborative album with the legendary Taj Mahal, which earned a Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues Album.
Since his self-titled debut album in 1994, Mo has released 13 more albums and earned 11 Grammys nominations. One of his biggest hits was I Hope, co-written with the Dixie Chicks.
Artists who have recorded his songs include BB King, Buddy Guy, the Dixie Chicks, Joe Cocker, Robert Palmer, Tom Jones, Melissa Manchester, Solomon Burke and the Zac Brown Band.
Collaborations include Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Jackson Browne, Natalie Cole, Lyle Lovett, India Arie, James Cotton, Bobby Rush and Timothy B. Schmit.
His TV and movie appearances include playing his iconic version of America The Beautiful in the series finale of West Wing as well as at the actual White House for President Barack Obama.
He was born in Compton, California, and calls Nashville home.
