Alan Kendall, Neath
SCOMO gets $10K rise, pensioners and Newstart get nothing. And you voted these fools in.
John Bonnyman, Fern Bay
HEY Jeff Green (Short Takes, 11/6), Bill Slicer was only a fair-weather supporter. If you remember he had his tickets up for sale back in April. I think he probably follows the Storm now.
Bob Berlin, Stockton
IT'S great to see that good ol' "have a go and you'll get a go" ScoMo and co have been gifted a pay rise of 10 grand or so. Nice to know the government is spending their dough on those they really care about though.
Mac Maguire, Charlestown
IN the wake of AFP raids on a News Corp journalist's home and the ABC offices over news stories exposing issues that the government of the day and the military may be uncomfortable with, it seems as if a free press and whistleblowers will now be relegated to the past. So we can kiss goodbye to transparency in government.
Susie Johnson, Adamstown
NOW we have a 40 per cent reduction in road tax on caravan rego, how about the next 60 per cent for us pensioners please? Makes sense to keep the nomads on side.
John Bradford, Beresfield
THERE have been rumours that Australia will help some countries with their internet infrastructure. Somebody should warn those countries not to accept the Turnbull "fibre to the node". It could set the national economy back for years.
Peter Moylan, Glendale
COME ye and revolt against the obsession of having to endure really loud music in shops, surgeries, malls, cafes and even live musical shows in Sydney. It's all too loud. Does anyone agree with me?
Sue Burrough, Carey Bay
IN reply to Jeff Green (Short Takes, 11/6). I've been basking in the eye of the storm. I am now waiting for the Storm to pass. Go Knights.
Bill Slicer, Tighes Hill
SO the Minister in charge of Veterans' Affairs, Darren Chester, said they don't need to have a royal commission into military suicides. This is the same government who said the same about the banks and we know what happened there.
Andy McFadden, Warners Bay
THANK you David Davies (Short Takes 12/6) for your thoughts. Now take it one step further and legislate to have any house sold also fitted with panels, added to the sale price of course.
John Bradford, Beresfield
THE POLLS
DO you think the installation of solar panels should be a mandatory on all new homes?
