The speculation about Ese'ese' future comes despite assurances a few weeks ago from Knights coach Nathan Brown that he won't be going anywhere in 2020.

For his part, the in-form prop says his only focus is on playing well for the Knights.
"I'm not too sure, I leave all that to my manager," he said when quizzed about interest in him from rival clubs.
"My manager has told me there are clubs that are keen but I've just told him I'm not too worried about that. I am here now and that's all I'm focused on. I'm signed until [the end of] next year so I don't know what's happening. I'm leaving all that to my manager."
Asked if he is happy in Newcastle, Ese'ese said: "Myself, my partner, my mum - we are all happy here. All I know is I'm putting all my energy and hard work into the Knights and I'm not trying to put my head into what's happening off field or next year. I'm just worried about now. Hopefully, they [the Knights] want to keep me."
