It is something the 33-year-old mother never thought would be possible.
She can also run now, has limitless energy and no longer fears for her life.
The registered nurse from Cliftleigh was unveiled on Monday night as one of the biggest reveals so far for series two of television show This Time Next Year, hosted by Karl Stefanovic.
After pledging to return to the show as a beautiful bride, Ms Matzon drew a standing ovation as she walked on to stage in her Karen Willis Holmes designer wedding dress, 75 kilograms lighter than 12 months earlier.
Initial filming for the show was done in March of last year, when Ms Matzon told Mr Stefanovic if she did not take action "I will die". The reveal was shot in March this year. Ms Matzon has now lost 90kg and 475 centimetres in total from her body.
The journey, which has not been easy, started nearly two years ago. At the time Ms Matzon weighed 170kg and was having trouble getting through day-to-day life.
"I had a kid, was emotional eating, shift working," Ms Matzon said.
"I was active as a kid. I played sport and everything. Weight just crept on over time. I guess I didn't see myself as big as I was until I went overseas on a holiday and tried to sit on a plane for 10 hours. I was so uncomfortable."
That was in November 2017 and the trip proved a catalyst to take action.
"When I was looking at the photos of myself I thought, 'I'm humongous'; I hated the photos," she said.
"I decided to do my weight loss journey before I was on the show, so the show was not my inspiration for my weight loss journey.
"I had my bloods taken and it came back that I was pre-diabetic and I thought I've got to do something about it now."
Family life was also a motivation and being able to keep up with 13-year-old son Jesse Colefax.
"I wanted to train with him and be able to ride our bikes together, go to the park and kick the soccer ball," she said.
"I was also finding work difficult. I was getting really short of breath and having trouble standing on my feet for too long. I was finding that I needed to do something about it that way."
Ms Matzon looked into gastric sleeve surgery and it was her surgeon Dr Tim Wright who nominated her for This Time Next Year.
"I wanted to surprise my whole family at my wedding," she said. "I did that in Fiji in October last year. I was 50-something kilos lighter at my wedding."
She had gastric sleeve surgery in March of last year.
"People say it's the cheat's way but sometimes there can be complications and it's not always an easy road," Ms Matzon said.
She then joined Cameron Park gym Body Beyond Limits and credits the support of trainer Mick O'Sullivan with helping transform her life.
"I feel amazing. I feel like a new person," Ms Matzon said.
"I can run. When I started at the gym I couldn't even get down on the ground. Now I can plank, do sit-ups, push-ups. It's amazing how much I can do now. I couldn't even do a squat when I started just over 12 months ago. I can plank longer than my son and he hates it.
"I said on the show that this journey has not only saved my life, it's given me a life."
Ms Matzon hope was that by sharing her story she might inspire others.
