The 32-year-old all-rounder has opted to contest the severity of the confidential ruling handed down by Country Cricket NSW this week having been put on report following Sunday's T20 Regional Bash season opener.
Country Cricket NSW were unable to convene before this weekend so have allowed Price to line-up for club side Wallsend this Saturday and the Newcastle Blasters in a double header on Sunday.
However, depending on the outcome of the case, the former Randwick-Petersham player is now at risk of missing the PM's XI curtain-raiser for Newcastle in Canberra on Thursday as well as ensuing Wallsend fixtures and the NSW Country Championships scheduled for the Central Coast next month (November 1-3).
Price was cited for an exchange with umpire Kim Norris after a run out was turned down against opponents Lake Mac Attack.
He later apologised to Norris for the code-of-conduct breach before leaving Waratah Oval.
He has a prior good record and hasn't previously fronted the tribunal in Newcastle.
The Blasters, who now have Price available, and Attack have named unchanged teams for their back-to-back encounters with the Central Coast Rush and Hunter Hitmen on Sunday.
Wallsend are at home Wests in a 40-over game on Saturday.
Tigers recruit Cooper Lennox, who won a minor-major premiership with Wests in 2017-2018, will be up against his former teammates for the first time at Wallsend Oval.
Elsewhere in round two of the NDCA first grade competition, following last weekend's complete wash out, Charlestown have English recruits Harry Gadd and Michael Tyrer ready for Cardiff-Boolaroo at Pasterfield Sports Complex.
Newcastle City welcome back Aidan Cahill, fresh from selection in the Australian under-17 squad, against hosts Belmont at Cahill Oval.
Merewether are away to Toronto, who have promoted Finlay Thornton.
Andrew Harriott stands in as skipper for Matt Gawthrop against visitors Stockton.
Waratah-Mayfield host defending Tom Locker Cup champions Hamwicks.
