In June, the $1.01 million sale of 26 Tallowwood Crescent gave the suburb its first seven-figure deal. That mark has been surpassed with Sam Tsiaousis, of Harcourts Newcastle, selling a five-bedroom, single-level residence with its own theatre and a resort-like pool at 43 Kingfisher Drive for $1.025 million. It was only on the market for eight days before being secured by a young family, returning to Newcastle.

Mr Tsiaousis also reported the $845,000 sale last month of a five-bedroom house at 15 Wigeon Chase in Cameron Park. It was followed by an $855,000 result for a five-bedroom home at 3 Guildford Grove, sold by Belle Property. Both sales are at the high end of the suburb's real estate prices
The post-auction sale of a renovated five-bedroom residence in Adamstown Heights was the suburb's second-highest mark for this year and the first time a home had broken the million-dollar mark for its street. The Agency's Cveta Kolarovski sold 24 Westwood Avenue for $1.295 million.
New Lambton property continues to be sought after with First National Newcastle City reporting 26 groups through the first inspection of 185 St James Road before it sold quickly for $800,000.
