On March 8, 2019, police and Ambulance NSW paramedics attended an address at Donald Street, Hamilton, following a Triple Zero call.
At the time, police set up a crime scene and commenced an investigation which led them back to an address at Coady Street, Hamilton South.
Officers found one man on the lounge room floor deceased and another man injured in the kitchen.
Two people were arrested and charged with multiple offences following the incident and Strike Force Delline was established.
On Wednesday, following further investigations, police also arrested a 32-year-old man from Hamilton South in relation to the incident.
He was charged with special aggravated detain and cause grievous bodily harm.
He was refused bail to face Newcastle court on May 21.
