The 19-year-old, who started the sport at Lambton Pool and attended Hunter School of Performing Arts, recorded a total of 306.50 points in the preliminary round on Friday.
This left him second last in the field at Tokyo Aquatics Centre.
He doesn't progress to Saturday's top 18 semi-finals along with fellow Australian representative Cassiel Rousseau (423.55), who was ranked eighth.

The cut off mark was 366.80.
Fricker's best effort was his sixth and final dive, an inward three-and-a-half somersaults from a tuck position, which scored 70.40 while the lowest was his fourth attempt with 29.70.
His highest position was equal 13th after the opening dives, having managed a 67.20.
