The 25-year-old ex-Kiwi international has featured in 112 NRL games for Newcastle, Manly and Brisbane since his debut in 2015 but played in just nine for the Broncos this season after starting the year in the Queensland Cup competition and was not offered a new contract.
He is now set to continue his professional career with Huddersfield, a club which already boasts a strong Knights connection.
Among the Giants current roster are ex-Knights Luke Yates, Jack Cogger, James Gavet and Joe Wardle while Aku Uate finished his career at the club. Former Newcastle coaches Rick Stone and Simon Woolford have also been a part of the club in the past.
Levi is looking forward to the challenge.
"It's awesome and really exciting to sign for the club," he said. "It'll be a big change for me and my family. I've heard a fair bit about Super League, it's a tough competition and I can't wait to get over and see what it's like.
"I like to run, I like to get out of hooker and bring energy to the team. That's what I base my game off - being a high energy player and trying to run as much as possible."
Huddersfield coach Ian Watson said: "Danny is electric in and around the ruck, he's really quick and he's got great skill.
"He's a hungry and ambitious player who wants to achieve things. He wants to boost his profile and we want him to help us in our quest to get to where we want to be."
