Matthew James Bolton, 32, had his bail revoked in Raymond Terrace Local Court on Tuesday after he allegedly tried to evade police on Monday.
Officers first tried to arrest Mr Bolton just before 1pm at Salamander Bay - deploying capsicum spray before he allegedly escaped in a black Audi.
Mr Bolton was then spotted in Nelson Bay, where a pursuit was terminated for safety reasons soon after it began.
Officers then found the 32-year-old at Salt Ash, where another pursuit was initiated before being called off.
Finally, police found the Audi abandoned on Cromarty Lane at Bobs Farm - officers found Mr Bolton allegedly hiding in long grass nearby.
He has been charged with several offences including police pursuit, assaulting police in the execution of duty and driving whilst disqualified.
Mr Bolton remains in custody and will face court again on May 2.
