Council has granted BYKKO a $2000 Make Your Place grant for the three-month trial, which will be launched on Wedesday by Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes.
The BYKKO bike share station, with three electric-assisted pedal bikes, will be installed outside the Recharge Café – part of Rethink Financial Group, on the corner of Dick and Hall Streets Newcastle West -and provide the business and residential community with free access to electric bike sharing over the summer months.
Novocastrians can sign up for free memberships to use the bikes around town.
