Sculpture in the Vineyards has opened along the Wollombi Valley Wine Trail for its ninth successive year.
Undercliff Winery hosted some of the sculptures and owner Peter Hamshere said it was great to see so many visitors despite the weekend weather.
‘‘It was pleasant having the artwork at our vineyard, and it draws in visitors to the whole industry,’’ Mr Hamshere said.

‘‘It’s a very pleasant cultural experience and art and wine go together nicely.’’
Al Phenister took out the acquisitive award with his sculpture Dandelion, which Mr Hamshere and his wife, Jane, bought.
Mike Patton picked up the non-acquisitive award with his piece Earthstars.
The sculptures will remain on show until January.
