KNIGHTS fullback and Earth Hour Ambassador Kurt Gidley wants Hunter residents and businesses to switch off for an hour at 8.30pm on Saturday."I hope everyone gets behind it," Gidley said."Hopefully it will keep growing and people will continue to support it. I certainly will."Gidley said Earth Hour reflected growing environmental awareness throughout the community. "When I was growing up I didn't recycle too much stuff, but I find myself using the recycling bin more than the other bin at the moment," Gidley said.
