THE Sydney Junction Hotel at Hamilton has lost its battle to keep the doors open until 3am.
The NSW Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority has reinstated a Monday to Saturday 1.30am closing time.
The decision comes into effect from Friday.
Hotel owner Campbell Rogers said he was ‘disappointed and shocked with the result’.
“We are doing everything we can to appeal this decision just like we did last time,” he said.
The hotel has been locked in an ongoing court process since police applied to revoke its extended 3am trading hours.
Police had ongoing concerns about alcohol-related violence and disturbance to the local community.
The hotel appealed the scaled back trading hours in the NSW Supreme Court, due to a procedural issue, but the Authority’s decision has since been reinstated.
