IT'S no accident that Dan Sultan chose to begin his stripped back album Aviary Takes with a cover of Michael Kiwanuka's Love & Hate. The opening lyrics, "Calling all the people here to see the show/Calling for my demons now to let me go," could have been written by Sultan himself after his train wreck performance in Cairns last year, which caused the ARIA winner to quit alcohol.
