US band The Dandy Warhols will play the music festival at Wickham Park on Sunday, November 10 alongside Australian acts Wolfmother, Eskimo Joe, Magic Dirt, Jebediah, Alex Lloyd, Sneaky Sound System and Even.
Last year Scene & Heard made its debut in front of 5000 punters, who celebrated '90s rock nostalgia through The Living End and Spiderbait. This year's Scene & Heard has expanded to Cairns and Brisbane and shifted its focus towards the early 2000s.
The Dandy Warhols emerged out of Portland's '90s psych scene before finding mainstream success in the early 2000s with Bohemian Like You and We Used To Be Friends.
It'll be The Dandys third trip to Newcastle after they played Club Nova (now Wests NEX) in 2001 before headlining the first Fat As Butter festival in 2008.
Scene & Heard tickets go on sale June 12.
