O'Hearn was sentenced in 2016 to a maximum of 18 years in jail, with a non-parole period of nine years after being found guilty of 44 offences against six boys. He was charged in 2018 with indecently assaulting a 15-year-old boy at Booragul in 1994. But on Wednesday, Judge Michael Bozic acquitted O'Hearn.
