Wickets tumble on an eventful day at Edgbaston, and the stars of the show are undoubtedly umpires Joel Wilson and Aleem Dar.
Out, not out, out, not out, not out, out ... between them their itchy trigger fingers gun down the world record for most dodgy decisions in an innings.
There is speculation both are facing the sack, but if it's any consolation, they will surely be welcomed on board by the boys in the NRL Bunker.
FRIDAY
PANTHERS coach Ivan Cleary comes to the realisation that he didn't speak to the referee Ashley Klein in the tunnel at Penrith Stadium after all.
After Sunday's loss to Canberra, Ivan was asked about the subject and replied: "I might've spoken to them, yeah. Possibly. But ... you can ask them, it was nothing untoward."
It has since been reported that the coach dropped an F-bomb, which he now claims is fake news.
"In 28 years and 500-odd games I've never sworn at or abused any official," he protests.
"I honestly don't know where it came from. Maybe it was a chance to start a story. It's completely false."
Cleary drops in the word "slanderous", which is enough for Seven Days to state for the record that never, ever, ever did I doubt you, Ivan. Your character and reputation are beyond reproach.
Meanwhile, Knights coach Nathan Brown explains the club's decision to offer young centre Jesse Ramien an immediate release.
Browny says Ramien hasn't fallen out with the coach or the playing group and "it's not because he ate steak and eggs or whatever everyone wants to say".
There's some food for thought.
SATURDAY
THE Knights are pondering a fifth straight defeat after their 30-6 loss to Manly.
But as losing streaks go, it barely registers a blip on the radar.
Newcastle, of course, racked up 19 losses on the trot between 2016 and 2017, but even that is small beer, in comparison to Scottish soccer side Fort William.
After a 73-game winless run, Fort celebrate their first victory in 840 days, a 5-2 triumph against Nairn County in the North of Scotland Cup.
Now that's a losing streak that will take some beating.
In the marquee game of Super Saturday, Cronulla field a full-strength team for the first time all season ... briefly.
South Sydney enforcer Sam Burgess does his best to even up the numbers by attempting to decapitate Sharks fullback Matt Moylan, who spends several minutes impersonating a starfish.
The overwhelming highlight, for mine, is the clash of the two best neck-tattoo exponents in the NRL, Josh Dugan and Adam Reynolds.
Duges has just about run out of vacant skin to get inked up. I'm guessing his next tough sticker will have to be across the melon.
SUNDAY
GOLD Coast Titans have really kicked on since they punted poor old Garth Brennan.
Today they cop a 58-6 hammering from the Chooks, after which interim coach Craig Hodges takes himself to task.
"I probably have to accept a chunk of responsibility for that myself," Hodges says.
"We squeezed them really hard the past few weeks to try and get the best out of them.
"Maybe we flattened them a bit much, maybe squeezed them too hard.
"Whatever we've done, for all of us, that was way off the mark. It was unacceptable."
It's the Gold Coast's second-largest losing margin. Shame it wasn't the club record. At least then Hodgo would have one claim to fame.
On Channel Nine, Paul Gallen sticks up for his former teammate Jesse Ramien and sticks the boot into the Knights.
"I thought it should have been kept in-house a little bit better, sorted out first and then if he's asked for a release or needed a release at the end of the season, then let him go then," Gallen says.
"I was really surprised it's been so public ... I don't know what the problem has been up there."
Gal seems to relish bagging the Knights. I reckon it stems back to his formative years.
In his first game in Newcastle, back in 2002, the Sharks copped a 52-8 hammering. On his return visit a year later, he was sent off for a high tackle on Sean Rudder and copped a six-week suspension.
He's borne the grudge ever since.
MONDAY
REPORTS surface that player-agent Wayde Rushton will be chasing a $6 million, four-year deal for Knights dynamo Kalyn Ponga.
For that sort of coin, you'd have to be something special. And KP surely is. Simone De Peak's mind-boggling photo suggests that he can literally walk on water.
TUESDAY
SAM Burgess produces the sidestep of the season when he manages to convince the NRL judiciary that the vision of him snotting Matt Moylan is actually an optical illusion.
The judiciary concur, and Sam walks out $1900 worse off but free to play this weekend.
Soon afterwards, Les Boyd announces he is launching a comeback.
WEDNESDAY
FIVE Catalans Dragons Super League players are suspended after a wild brawl against Warrington that spilled into the crowd.
Surprisingly, Maitland's Greg Bird is not one of the five. Clearly the Birdman, who spent a combined tally of 31 weeks in purgatory during his NRL career, is mellowing in his old age.
