A 52-year-old man from Cessnock has died after a crash in Lake Macquarie on Saturday night.

Police said a vehicle was headed north on the M1 Motorway when it left the road, rolled and caught fire.
The Cessnock man, who was the vehicle's sole occupant, died at the scene.
Lake Macquarie police attended and established a crime scene to begin forensic examinations.
Drivers were diverted between Freemans Drive and Palmers Road.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.

Separately, a Newcastle police operation on Friday has resulted in drug supply charges against a 20-year-old man.
Police Transport and Public Safety Command officers conducted a drug dog operation between Broadmeadow, Hamilton and the Wickham Interchange.
They searched a 20-year-old man, allegedly finding 27 MDMA tablets inside his bag.
He was arrested, taken to Newcastle police station and charged with supply prohibited drug. He received conditional bail to face court in September.
