Deputy Premier and Minister for Industry and Trade John Barilaro said the Introduction to Exporting workshop was suitable for all businesses, ranging from those aspiring to export to those starting down that path or already exporting and wanting to grow their knowledge. It will be delivered by the government in partnership with Cessnock City Council and the Export Council of Australia.
"Topics to be covered include export planning, market selection, resourcing for export, export marketing and visiting target markets," he said.
"The export knowledge to be learned from this workshop will be relevant to businesses across a range of sectors including food and beverage, wine, agribusiness, manufacturing, technology, mining, services and consumer products.
Mr Barilaro said NSW companies exported $89 billion worth of goods and services in the 2017-2018 financial year.
"Businesses that export are generally more successful, hire more staff, pay higher wages and have better productivity than firms that don't export," he said
The event is from 10am to 3:30 pm at Cessnock Leagues Club.
Registrations must be made via Eventbrite.
