A MALE in his 60s and and a man in his 20s are the latest confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Hunter, taking the total number of cases in the region to 13.

The man in his 60s had recently returned from the US.
The man in his 20s had travelled through Asia.
Both are in home isolation.
Hunter New England Health is contacting close contacts of the two new cases, who are being asked to self-isolate for 14 days from last contact.
A spokesperson said they would be contacted every day to check that they were well and any contact who developed COVID-19 symptoms would be tested for the infection.
Hunter New England Local Health District has now opened an additional COVID-19 screening clinic at the Calvary Mater Newcastle.
There are also clinics at John Hunter and Maitland hospitals.
A Hunter New England Health spokesperson called for everyone in the district to wash their hands often, cover coughs and sneezes, maintain social distance, and stay home if unwell.
There are now 307 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in NSW.
There have been five deaths, and 38,782 cases tested and excluded.
