Police were called to a store at Charlestown just after 5pm on Tuesday after reports a customer had become aggressive towards staff members.
Officers were told the woman was banned from the shop after a verbal altercation with staff last weekend and had been asked to leave when she entered the store on Tuesday afternoon.
Police will allege in court the 52-year-old verbally abused and threatened a 46-year-old man before punching him in the chest and spitting in his face.
She then allegedly slapped and verbally abused a 33-year-old male security guard who intercepted her.
She was taken to Belmont Police Station and charged with two counts of common assault and an outstanding arrest warrant.
