Awaba Road remains closed in both directions following a serious motor vehicle collision near Toronto on Thursday morning.

Emergency services were called to Awaba Road near Wilton Road about 8.30am on reports of a collision between two vehicles.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was deployed to the scene on reports that a male occupant of one of the vehicles was trapped and "suffering serious injuries".
"Local Ambulance paramedics and emergency services arrived on scene and commenced treatment and rescue of the male from the vehicle wreckage," a spokesperson for the helicopter service said.
"Once released by emergency services a 26 year old male was further treated for multiple traumatic injuries and stabilised by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team."
The man was flown to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle in a serious but stable condition.
Diversions are now in place. Eastbound traffic is being directed to use Wilton Road while westbound traffic is being advised to use Toronto Street.
