The same surnames have been popping up in the Newcastle Rugby League senior ranks as the next generation of players emerge.
Adam Muir's two eldest boys, Oskar and Charley, played together with Lakes for the first time on Sunday.
Marc Glanville has son Ryan in the halves at Souths, claiming a maiden premiership in 2018, while daughter Jordan features in the Lions' ladies league tag squad.
Paul Harragon and Ben Kennedy have Luke and Bryce respectively sidelined at Central after both underwent ACL surgery during the last 12 months while Jonas Butterfield, son of Tony, is the Butcher Boys' hooker in reserves.
Jack Johns, son of Matthew and nephew of Andrew, lined-up for a handful of games at Wests in 2018 and recently made his NRL debut with the Rabbitohs.
* NEWCASTLE Rugby League officials have yet confirm a grand final venue for October 18. McDonald Jones Stadium has been used for the previous five seasons after a long run at No.1 Sportsground.
* FORMER Wests and NRL prop Mitch Garbutt has signed a two-year deal with French club Toulouse Olympique from 2021 and said "I only come with one goal - to help the club move up to the Super League." This followed last week's announcement he would be ending his time at Hull KR after this season.
* KURRI Kurri captain-coach Mitch Cullen hopes to retain Frank-Paul Nu'uausala at the Bulldogs next year.
Cullen, who is looking after the club's tier two squad after they opted not to field a top side, also hoped loaned players Jarred Anderson, Henry Penn (Maitland), Jade Porter (Wests), Reid Alchin (Dora Creek) and Zeb Dunstan (Kearsley) would all return to Kurri Sportsground in 2021.
The likes of Brady Hammond, Zeb Dunstan, Brent Mendyk, Ethan Nizcot and Jordy Mitchell are still wearing the red, blue and white uniform this year while Kade Hardy has come back after 12 months off with an ankle injury.
Cullen said he has yet to have a run himself, but may find himself back out in the middle at some stage during 2020.
* WESTS, who have their first game at home on Sunday after two previous fixtures were relocated from Harker Oval, won't have skipper Ryan Walker (unavailable) against unbeaten Central. Luke Casson (knee) and Pat Achurch (hamstring) are also awaiting scan results.
