A FOUR-year-old boy has been rushed to a Newcastle hospital after he was reportedly struck by a reversing vehicle in a driveway.

Emergency services were called to Killarney Vale about 4.20pm on Tuesday after reports the child was struck by a car.
They arrived at Thomas Mitchell Drive and began treating the boy at the scene.
He was subsequently taken to the John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
Tuggerah Lakes police are examining the circumstances of the incident and have begun making inquiries.
