The change arrives at 2am tomorrow, when clocks will go forward one hour at 2am to 3am.
In addition to NSW, residents of ACT, Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania will also be turning their clocks forward one hour. There is no daylight saving in Queensland, Western Australia or the Northern Territory.
The daylight saving period will wind up early next year, with clocks scheduled to go backwards in the early hours of April 4.
The time change is one of several switches that have authorities on high alert across the weekend.
Double demerits are in force while the bushfire danger period has also commenced. Hunter Water has also dropped water restrictions.
