Yoha was a $34 TAB hope in the Ladyship Pace to open the program, which features the group 2 Hondo Grattan Stakes - a heat of the Chariots of Fire for four-year-olds.
Chapple and his son Mitch, who trains Yoha, nominated the mare for the Hondo Grattan but missed a place. They will likely nominate for next week's heat, the Paleface Adios Stakes.
Yoha, a last-start winner at Newcastle, was seventh and last in her only race at Menangle last August, but she was only seven metres away in a race won in 1:52:4.
Chapple said Saturday night's field was a similar standard but Yoha had improved and he was confident of a bold showing.
"She's going good. I can't be any happier with her," Chapple said. "She had that bad run in the [Golden Guitar] heats at Tamworth the other week but I think she just doesn't like the smaller track.
"She'll run a race. The last time she went down there, she went super really. She was last on the corner and went to the line looking for a run against some nice horses.
"It doesn't matter about times, she can run as good a time as any horse I've ever had. She's $34, and she shouldn't be $34."
Chapple also drives Rocknlachlan for Bobs Farm trainer Geoff Harding in the third. He was third in the Golden Guitar after winning his heat.
"He's big odds as well but he's a good horse and he should run a good race."
