A CYCLIST has died in a crash on the Central Coast over the weekend.

About 9.50am Sunday a man was riding with a group of cyclists along the Pacific Highway at Cheero Point, when he hit the roadside railing.
He came off his bike and suffered critical injuries in the crash. Emergency services were called to the site and Traffic and Highway Patrol officers were first on scene.
They administered first aid, however the 59-year-old man could not be saved and died at the scene.
Officers from Brisbane Waters established a crime scene and have commenced an investigation.
A brief will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
