Newcastle will field at least three new starting forwards from the 18-10 victory over Manly at home. David Klemmer was charged with a careless high tackle by the NRL match review committee.
The prop will likely miss two games with an early plea or three if he's found guilty by the judiciary following the last-minute hit on Sea Eagles debutant Ben Trbojevic.
IN THE NEWS:
He joins fellow prop Daniel Saifiti and second-rower Tyson Frizell as omissions for the Knights.
Saifiti will be in Origin camp with NSW while Frizell, a Blues incumbent ruled out after limping off the field in the closing stages, had scans for an ankle injury on Monday and faces an extended stint on the sideline if initial concerns about syndesmosis prove correct.
A further three Novocastrians will have to be cleared this week after all undergoing a HIA during the round-12 encounter.
Knights fullback Tex Hoy and second-rower Lachlan Fitzgibbon didn't return, having been replaced within three minutes of one another towards the back end of the fixture, while substitute Sauaso Sue passed his test near the hour mark.
Utility Kurt Mann (groin) will also be racing the clock after he withdrew from the side following a gorin setback in the captain's run on Saturday.
Parramatta will be down two Origin representatives - Junior Paulo (NSW) and Reed Mahoney (QLD) - in Newcastle this Sunday.
The Knights held a recovery session on Monday and return to training on Wednesday, which will mark the first session of new signing Jake Clifford.
