The 31-year-old Novocastrian has two legs of the World Triathlon Championship Series in Canada from next weekend.

Royle, who sits 28th on the rankings, competes in Montreal on August 14 and 15 before travelling to Edmonton for the WTCS finals on August 21 and 22.
Royle, who was selected to represent his country at the Games after helping secure quota spots via competition in England and Mexico, described it as a "tough week in Japan".
The former under-23 world champion and Commonwealth Games bronze medalist placed ninth on debut at the Rio Olympics five years ago.
Australia didn't crack the top 10 individually, men or women, at the Games in Tokyo and finished ninth in the mixed teams race.
Hall of Fame triathlete Emma Carney has reportedly called for an immediate review of the sport's governing body at national level.
Triathlon Australia released a statement on Thursday saying they are "committed to a rigorous independent review of the sport and its performance at the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games".
