Crockett's pair led markets for the race on Thursday with the track a heavy 8.
Primal Scream beat Into The Fire into second at Muswellbrook over the trip on October 31. Into The Fire has since won at Dubbo.
"They are both racing really well but I'm probably favouring Into The Fire, just with the track conditions," Crockett said. "I don't think he likes the heavy but I think it will suit him better."
He also believed Keen Idea was a good chance in the seventh on the program.
"Into The Fire is my main chance but I've got Keen Idea in the 1280 maiden and he goes pretty good," he said.
"His form is a lot better than it reads, but there's a question mark on him if he can handle the heavy track as well."
