Ash Brodigan is back in Jets colours after a three-season absence and returns after a strong campaign in Herald Women's Premier league with premiers Broadmeadow.
The 22-year-old attacking player, who made 16 W-League appearances between 2015-16 and 2017-18, scored 18 goals for Magic in 16 outings and was key to their success in a COVID-shortened season.
She was invited to trial with the Jets during pre-season and earned an A-League Women's contract after impressing coach Ash Wilson with her "determination and mentality".
''To have gone away from the top level, set new goals, and come back in as a more mature and motivated player - it is a credit to her," Wilson said. "Ash brings versatility and creativity to our attack and physically offers us key characteristics that will help us execute our brand of football."
NH: What was your first club, and how old were you?
AB: Budgewoi Soccer Club and I was 11.
NH: What do you do off the field?
AB: I manage Chemist Warehouse at Charlestown. I work there five days a week, and we train five days a week, so there's not a lot of spare time. If there is, it would be going to the beach or for a walk or anything like that.
NH: What music, if any, is playing on game day?
AB: I know a lot of people have game-day playlists but I don't listen to anything in particular, just usually whatever is playing in the changeroom.
NH: What television series, if any, are you addicted to?
AB: I'm currently watching Chicago Fire.
NH: What can't you live without?
AB: Coffee.
NH: Do you have any pre-match habits?
AB: I shave my legs before every game. I get up, have a shower, eat breakfast, brush my teeth. I'm a very routine person in that way.
