The 17-year-old year 12 student will be be one of many up and coming local talents who will audition later this month in the hope of becoming a feature artist in the opening ceremony.
Jessica has been singing since she was three, including performing in school choirs and busking on the street.
She was also a grand finalist in Sydney's Fast Track singing competition in April, making the top 18 out of an original pool of 240 contestants.
Although she started out singing pop music, Jessica said her taste in music had changed towards soul and blues.
Jessica said she was keen to become a cruise-ship entertainer when she finished high school at the end of the year, as well as study design and fashion.
■ Auditions for the International Children's Games opening ceremony start from Saturday, May 31, and will be held at Lake Macquarie Performing Arts Centre, Lake Street, Warners Bay.
