There is not a "them" and an "us", there is really only "us".
That idea is reflected in NSW government policy, seen in the Principles of Multiculturalism poster at crc.nsw.gov.au.
Respect for all people is essential for a better society.
That does not mean agreement.
As the universe is infinitely and wonderfully complex, no one person or group knows more than a tiny fraction of all knowledge, and so we are all unaware or ignorant to some degree.
Let us enjoy the advantages of our chosen way of living and respect others' efforts to find and live their best reasonably practicable way of life.
