NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione swore in 131 new probationary constables at a ceremony at the academy in Goulburn on Friday.
Of the newly attested officers of Class 325, another two will be based at the Hunter commands of Port Stephens and Central Hunter.
However, Newcastle has missed out.
The recruits from Class 325, who have graduated with the associate degree in policing practice, started work on Monday.
The cohort has 98 men and 33 women, with 10 members born overseas in countries including Korea, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan and Turkey.
Their ages range from 20 to 48.
Commissioner Scipione said the recruits would be challenged and gratified by their work.
"From today onward they'll be tasked with the safety and security of the people of NSW and I'm confident they will uphold the force's statement of values in performing those duties," he said.
